Superman Sequel Reportedly in Development at Warner Bros.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No, it's Awesome News!

Superman fans rejoice! The Wrap is reporting that Warner Bros. is at long last ready and willing to get to work on another big budget solo Superman movie. Henry Cavill first took on the epic red cape in 2013's Man of Steel before facing off against Ben Affleck earlier this year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Other than the report of “active development” there's next to no information and it's unlikely we will hear much on the project for some time.

Warner Bros. previously announced two untitled DC Comics movies back in April with fans speculating wildly as to what DC hero would feature on the placeholder dates of October 5, 2018 and November 1, 2019. It's a safe bet that those two release dates will be occupied by Affleck’s recently confrimed solo Batman movie and this new solo Superman movie.

It's going to be a busy next few years for audiences and comic fans alike and the news of Batman and Superman solo films alongside the rest of the DC Extended Universe on film is bound to raise excitement levels.

Fans will get to see Henry Cavill return as Superman in Justice League which releases November 2017. After the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice it's still uncertain how the last son of krypton will feature in the team up movie that also features Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.
