Batman v Superman: Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck Interviews Plus Opening Sequence Description

More Reveals from the DC Comics Blockbuster

By Alex Burns

Some more 'Batman v Superman' news today! After the epic cover of Total Film was revealed we had to get our hands on a copy, there is a great feature on 'Dawn of Justice' in the December issue and we really recommend picking up the magazine for yourself. First things first though take a look at that epic cover without all magazine text, barcodes etc and revel in it's glory. All done? Good, now here's some highlights from the article, including comments from Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, a cool description of the opening sequence and some on-set photos. Check out the goods below!

We saw in the trailers for 'BvS' that Bruce Wayne in present in Metropolis when Superman fights Zod at the end of Man of Steel and by Henry Cavills comments it looks like that will be the opening "prologue" for the film
.
“What happens there is one of Bruce’s buildings gets destroyed and he’s trying to save all the people inside the building and he can’t. So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?”

“He’s found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman,” Affleck adds. “So it’s how he got there, and what that’s done to him, and what that’s done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It’s something that’s interesting and new.”

There's been a serious amount of buzz that Ben Affleck will direct as well as star in the next Batman solo film, so what does Afleck make of all the rumours?

“If I could make it work, yeah, Obviously that would be like a dream. The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you – if you’re going to direct it – that you can make it good. You’ve got to have the right idea and the right take on it… Broadly speaking, it’s something I’d be open to, for sure. It’s a very exciting idea.”

"Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before."

Directed by Zack Snyder, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane and is set for release worldwide March 25th 2016.
